No, this isn’t Hoboken, but it conjures up the mile-square city’s SWAT scandal two years ago.
According to the Associated Press, a sheriff in Midland, Texas fired a deputy and suspended three others without pay because a waitress at the flirty “Twin Peaks” restaurant was photographed holding a deputy’s rifle.
According to the AP, the waitress struck a sexy pose and was scantily clad. An article says the eatery boasts a “fun, friendly and sometimes flirty atmosphere!”
In Hoboken two years ago, several police officers became the objects of derision after photos were released of Hooters waitresses holding their guns, and of public officials drinking at parties on the same trip. The incidents took place on two humanitarian missions to the South to help out after Hurricane Katrina.
The officers are still awaiting hearings.
