Funeral services were held Aug. 8 for Louise Gimbert, of Jersey City. She died Aug. 5 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She had been a school teacher at P.S. 20 Jersey City for over 32 years. She had earned Masters Degrees in both Reading and Environmental Education. She was a member of the NJEA the JCEA and was very active in the Joint Activities Program in the Jersey City Schools. Pre-deceased by her parents Walter and Norma Gimbert and three brothers, Robert, Charles and Donald Gimbert, andher sister Jean Quintero, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, Nancy Gimbert, Linda Corbett, Walter D. Gimbert III, Norman Gimbert, Ronald Gimbert, Norma Gimbert Maier and George Gimbert. She is also survived by her best friend Lois Belasc, and many nieces and nephews.
