A funeral service took place Aug. 12 at Emmanuel Pentecostal United Holy Church, Jersey City, for James W. “Bobo” Evans. He passed away at home Aug. 9. He was a resident of Jersey City for over 40 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal United Holy Church for 15 years. He was the husband of Evelyine Evans for 23 years; the father of Willie Joe Roberts, of Trenton, Charles W. Sutton, of Seattle, Wash., and Felicia Bunn of the home; the grandfather of Charles Smith, of Jersey City, and Tyrell Bunn of the home; the nephew of Odel (Evelyn) Reeves and Lillie Cooper, of Marion, SC; the nephew-in-law of Elizabeth Reeves, of Marion, S.C., Mary Reeves and Mae Reeves, both of Jersey City; the cousin of Margaret Paige, of Hephzibah, Ga. and Ella Mae Reddick, of Marion, S.C.
