A woman who teaches at United Synagogue of Hoboken has talent, as well as a capacity for pain. She recently won the Israeli version of “American Idol” and began getting interest from American record producers.
Paula Valstein had already performed around the country with other musicians, and has a show in New York slated for Aug. 28.
She tells the Jewish Standard, ““A lot of Jews in New York have been watching the show and I will find out when I get back if the show made an impact there. Through Facebook, I have gotten hundreds of messages from people on both coasts and even in Italy and Prague.”
