A funeral mass was celebrated July 14 at Saint Nicholas Church, Jersey City, for Margaret “Sally” Canzano, 82. She passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on July 11 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at the Atrium. Sally was born in Jersey City and was a life long resident. Sally was employed as the receptionist at The Jersey Journal for over 25 years, retiring in 1996. A former parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Jersey City, Sally was an active member their Rosary Society, PTA, and Mother’s Club. Sally was a communicant of Saint Nicholas Church in Jersey City. She was the wife of the late Thomas C. Canzano, Jr.; the mother of Thomas Canzano, Barbara Meyer, Kathleen Marsella and her husband Joseph, and Karen Keegan and her husband William; the sister of Grace Cuttingham and the late Stan, Helen O’Brien and the late Robert, Rosemary Murphy and her husband Don, James Skinner and his wife Dolores, Robert Skinner and the late Carol, Raymond Skinner and his wife Joyce, and the late Eugene and Helen Skinner. Special friend of Millie Feuker. She was the grandmother of Guy and Nancy, Joseph and Jill, Jennifer and Sergio, Thomas and Jennifer, Krista and Jason, Christopher and Lisa, Michael and Dee Dee, Kristine, Tara, and Rory; the great-grandmother of Michael, Cole, Sergio, Isabella, Jack, Samantha, Charlie, and Jeremy, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
