A funeral service was held June 26 for Rene R. Paneque, 77. He passed away June 24 at The Harborage in North Bergen. He was born in Oriente, Cuba, and came to the U.S. in 1967. Mr. Paneque was the proprietor of Paneque Grocery Store in West New York and Union City. He is survived by his wife, Osmara (Mendoza), and his sons, Rene A. and Jorge. He is also survived by his brother, Tomas and six grandchildren: Dianne, Maranice, Maria, Lianne, George, and William. Services arranged by the Morgado Funeral Home, Union City.
