Assemblyman thanks “Cell Phones for Soldiers” donors

To the Editor:
I would like to take this time to thank all the students of the Bayonne school system who participated in the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” program and who dropped off over several hundred phones to my district office.
To date, my office has collected over 1,000 cell phones – new and old – that will be recycled and turned into thousands of cell phone minutes for soldiers stationed overseas so that they an keep in touch with their loved ones.
I want residents to know that I will continue to collect old cell phones in any condition and that they can be dropped off to my Assembly office at 663 Broadway, between 30th and 31st streets.
Thanks to all who have donated their phones thus far.
