To the Editor:
For 14 seasons, the Rev. Dominic J. Del Monte Lodge 2560, Sons of Italy has been conducting a “Salute to the Stars” concert. We have received much praise due to the magnificent performances of the very professional artists. It brought the lodge a great deal of pride to be able to share the gift of Opera and show tunes with the Bayonne Community and the greater Hudson County area.
On behalf of the members and officers of the lodge, we would like to express our deep gratitude for all those in attendance or who contributed to our splendid journal. Through your sponsorship, the lodge has honored the values of our organization, demonstrating how Italian art has influenced American classical music.
We cannot thank everyone enough for their fine support and spirit of cooperation, insuring the event’s success. Thank you “Community News” and Cecilia Martinez for your excellent coverage. You were great! Also, thanks to our beloved pastor of Assumption Church, Rev. Joseph Barbone.
