Leaving Weehawken

Dear Editor:
After thirty-four years as an educator in the Township of Weehawken the time has come for me to embark on a new journey. I wish to thank all the people of Weehawken for all the great moments, memories and persons I have met. As a beginning teacher I never realized the effect all those young men and women would have on my life.
Throughout the years of coaching and teaching the people of Weehawken willingly placed an enormous trust in me to teach, coach and guide their children. I hope they have gained as much from me as I have from them.
To those of you might remember me as “Coach”, “Mr. D” or the guy smelling up the halls at Wilson School and making noise with my keys in the halls of Weehawken High School, I hope you don’t embellish the stories when you relate them to your children and/or grandchildren.
Thank you for all the great memories and support through the years. I’ll see you around.

Respectfully,
Anthony N. D’Angelo
