A man was caught allegedly exposing himself on the 300 block of First Street, police said.
A witness phoned police on Monday, May 11 at roughly 6 p.m. complaining of a light-skinned male allegedly exposing himself and allegedly performing a sex act on himself on the sidewalk of First Street.
The witness told police that the man then left the scene in a 2006 Honda.
Police caught a suspect on Sinatra Drive just 24 minutes later. Upon approach, police found that the man allegedly had his pants open and zipper down as he was driving, police said.
The suspect, Miguel Flores, 47, Jackson, N.J., was indentified at headquarters by the witness and charged with lewdness and endangering the welfare of children.
Man allegedly attacked by five heading to school
This past Monday morning, a man told police he was beaten up by a group of students on their way to Hoboken High School.
The man said he was punched in the forehead as he walked passed a group of five black males on the 600 block of Jefferson Street, according to Captain Anthony Falco.
The man allegedly put the attacker into a headlock, but he was soon allegedly pushed to the ground and kicked and punched by the rest of the group of men and teenagers.
The victim later realized his wallet had been taken, he said.
The man described two of the alleged attackers to police.
Around 8:27 a.m., another police unit intercepted three of the possible group members on their way to the high school. One of the apprehended suspects admitted to taking the cash from the wallet and tossing it away, Falco said.
Police recovered the wallet and the cash and charged three males – two of which were juveniles – with robbery. All three were from Hoboken. The 18-year-old was identified as Hakeem High.
Death cab for pukey
Police said that an inebriated woman allegedly refused to pay a cab fare, vomited in the backseat of the cab, and then allegedly assaulted a police officer.
Police were called to the 800 block of Castle Point Terrace at 2 a.m. on Thursday, May 14. Stevens Institute of Technology police were already on the scene.
A cab driver claimed that the woman refused to pay her fare and when he confronted her, she allegedly bent his windshield wiper, opened the back door of his cab, and vomited in the back seat.
The woman allegedly started to yell obscenities at the officers, police said, and was told to quiet down, but she instead allegedly smacked an officer in the face.
Nicole Rizzuto, 21, of Pompton Plains was restrained by police and later taken to Hoboken University Medical Center for bruises as a result.
She was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, police said.
