After declining to comment on her surprise third-place finish in Tuesday night’s mayoral election, Hoboken Councilwoman Beth Mason released a statement/letter to the editor late this morning:
“I wanted to take this occasion to express my heartfelt gratitude to all my supporters in last Tuesday’s election. I remain confident that the core values of our campaign are central to the future of our city. Transparency, fiscal soundness and building bridges between the many constituencies of our community are vital to Hoboken. We live in a wonderful city filled with enormous possibilities and opportunities. And I remain committed to representing your concerns and assure you that as we move forward I will keep fighting for you each and every day.
Two of our team members Vincent Addeo and Raul Morales, Jr. were successful in representing our platform and remain on the ballot for the Council-at-Large seats for the June 9th election. I urge you to join me in supporting their candidacies as we continue to work for “One Hoboken”.
