Our first story about the impending opening of Crumbs Bakeshop at 409 Washington St. in Hoboken got 1,500 hits, so apparently, a lot of people are excited about the cupcake craze. Well, as planned, the shop will officially open this Saturday, May 2 at 8 a.m. with a giveaway. Here is what their spokeswoman told us:
“The shop opens up this Saturday and 1,000 cupcakes will be given away (one per person) beginning at 8 a.m. It’s a normal business day so customers can buy anything they would like including coffee, drinks, pastries, cakes, etc.!
The spokeswoman also said that while the shop may open in advance of the Saturday celebration, they are not 100 percent positive.
