Guess what this line on Washington Street was for…

This line is not for subsidized housing, or even to vote in school board elections. Actually, people lined up down Washington Street in Hoboken yesterday to enjoy free ice cream and music at Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day.
Pierre and Sibel Berberoglu, owners of the Hoboken Ben and Jerry’s franchise, generously designated The Jubilee Center of Hoboken as the charity of the day. The Center, which provides a safe haven for kids in Hoboken’s public housing to do school work and get a hot meal, was able to raise $2000 as folks danced and ate delicious ice cream!
