An unidentified woman’s body was recovered from Newark Bay near 48th Street in Stephen Gregg Park early on Tuesday morning.
Deputy Police Chief Ralph Scianni said that someone walking in the park reported seeing the body at about 7:15 a.m. The Bayonne Police Department turned the matter over to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s office, although anyone with any information about the possible indentity should contact the police desk 201-858-6950.
“We’re still working on indentifying the woman at this time,” Scianni said. “If anyone has any information they should call us.”
