A funeral mass was offered April 14 at SS Joseph and Michael’s Church for Edward J. Tomney, Jr., formerly of North Bergen. He died April 9. A joyful and friendly person, Ed was a World War II veteran, U.S. Army, and an active member of the VFW, Post 337, Fairview. For years, he was a truck driver for Cullum Trucking, Jersey City. He was the husband of the late Lillian; the brother of Mary Mackintosh, James Tomney, Charles Tomney and the late Lawrence Tomney; and the uncle of 14 nieces and nephews.
