I’m casting my vote for Tom Troyer

Dear Editor:
In my opinion there is one candidate in the Secaucus Board of Education Election that is head and shoulders above the reset of the candidates. Candidate Tom Troyer, having served as a board member in the past, brings more than 12 years of experience to the voters.
On Tuesday, April 21, Secaucus residents are being asked to vote for three new board members and a proposed school budget of $35,000,000 plus.
One attribute a board member should have is experience. Since the three incumbent board members up for re-election have chosen not to run, Eleanor Rienhl will be the only board member with more than three years of experience going forward. I would feel much more comfortable having Tom bring his prior experience to the board.
Tom has been a community servant and activist for over 40 years. His concerns have always been to promote ideas that would improve the “Qualify of Life” for the residents of Secaucus. I had the pleasure of serving as commissioner on the Secaucus Housing Authority for over five years with Mr. Troyer. We were members of the authority that provided Senior Housing on County Ave.
The first of three votes I will cast on Tuesday, April 21, will be for Tom Troyer. I will make my decision on two other candidates after reviewing information provided by the other candidates.

Respectfully,
George Broemmer
