Firefighters team up for Multiple Sclerosis

Dear Editor:
Members of Washington Hook and Ladder Co.1 Secaucus Fire Dept. have pledged their full support of The 21st Annual Walk for MS, benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and its Mid Jersey Chapter, which will be held on Sunday, April 19th in Jersey City. Not only will members of the company be walking, we are raising money to support research and programs offered by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
MS is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks your nervous system. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of the disease cannot be predicted, and symptoms may range from numbness to paralysis to blindness. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50 but the unpredictable physical and emotional effects last forever.
The national MS Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis.
