A graveside burial with full military honors at West Point was conducted April 7 for Anthony S. “Tony” Fiore, 80. He died March 27 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center, Big Spring, Texas. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Coahoma, Texas the last 30 years. He was a career officer in the U.S. military, serving in Korea and twice in Vietnam as an Air Borne Ranger. He was a cadet at West Point Military Academy. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by his children, Anthony “Tony” Fiore, Jr., Mark Herrnecker, Lisa Sharp, Carol Striffolino and Patty Perez; his brother, Nick “Tex” Fiore; his sister Julia Fiore Ciaburri; his niece Linda Ciaburri, and seven grandchildren.
