The New Jersey State Senate and General Assembly honored and commended the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office for their outstanding actions on January 15, 2009 concerning the emergency required landing of the U.S. Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River. Hudson County Sheriff Juan Perez accepted the commendation on behalf of the men and women of the HC Sheriff’s Office.
