Funeral services were held March 26 for Olga “Ollie” Franco, 88. She died on March 22. She was a lifelong resident of Jersey City, graduating from Dickinson High School. She was an active campaigner for the Democratic Party in Jersey City and a member of St. Pokrova Sisterhood of St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Jersey City. In addition to her volunteer work for Vietnam veterans, she worked with children at PS #6 and PS #11, encouraging them to get involved in sports, especially baseball. She was the mother of Cheryl and Michael Brelinsky, Howard Franco, Michael and Lynn Franco, and Michele Franco, and cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services arranged by the Bromirski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
