To update our story below about the billboard that Hoboken Mayor David Roberts didn’t like, the billboard apparently came down by Tuesday evening.
More importantly, our math experts here at the Reporter have determined that “Cut Your Hoboken Property Taxes 47% … We’ll Help You Leave” is actually an incorrect statement.
If you left Hoboken, your “Hoboken Property Taxes” would actually be cut 100 percent.*
But if you bought property in a new town for the first time, the taxes you paid to a new town would be drastically increased over what you’d paid to that town before.
That will be all.
*(Except if you still owned property here).
