Hoboken UMC’s Family Birthing Center was a sponsor at the 7th Annual Cabin Fever Festival hosted by Hoboken Family Alliance on March 1st at the Hoboken Elks Club. The Cabin Fever Festival raises money for grants awarded to local charities. This year $10,000 was awarded to five different grantees. Hoboken UMC Staff members Renee Turonis, MS, RN, CCE and Robin Petrick, CCE, IBCLC were on hand at the event explaining the services provided by the Family Birthing Center and giving demonstrations of Friends and Family CPR. Hoboken University Medical Center is a 328-bed facility located in the heart of Hoboken. It is the oldest continuing hospital in New Jersey, and it possesses some of the area’s best doctors and nurses, the latest in medical technology, and a host of medical specialties to treat people of all ages and ailments.
