A mass of Christian Burial was offered March 17 at St. Aedan’s Church, Jersey City, for Philip E. Brady, 88. He passed away at Putman County Hospital, Carmel N.Y. after a brief illness. Born in New York City, he was a lifelong resident of Jersey City, and moved to Monroe Township in 2004. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Army in the Burma, India, and China theaters. He was a foreman for Basic Foods in Englewood for over 35 years, retiring several years ago. Active at St. Aedan’s Church, Jersey City, he was a church usher and a member of the Holy Name Society as well as a member of the Men’s Club of Hudson Catholic High School. He coached in the Westside Little League of Jersey City for 10 years. He is survived by his wife Marie V. Brady and his children Joseph C., Philip L., and Moire Brady. He was predeceased by his daughter Noreen Bertucci. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Timothy and Caitlin Bertucci, and Philip M., Kellie, Alexandra and Catherine Brady.
