Girl killed at train bridge was NBHS grad

Early Friday morning, a teenage girl died in a car when her friend allegedly crashed into a railroad bridge near 83rd Street and the CSX railroad tracks in North Bergen.
Her friend, a young North Bergen man who was driving the car, has since been charged with driving while intoxicated.
The accident occurred on Friday, March 13th when Jessi Saquipulla allegedly struck a support wall under a CSX railroad bridge on 83rd Street in North Bergen.
Saquipulla was charged by CSX transit police with possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
The victim, Colila, 19, who lives in Lyndhurst, was transported by North Bergen EMS to the Jersey City Medical Center, where she passed away.
A memorial to the victim was recently placed in the area (see photo).
