Budget hearing on Wednesday

The City Council will meet this Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. to conduct a public hearing on the proposed $123.5 million city budget, as well as to take care of their normal business.
City Clerk Jim Farina said on Friday that it was very unlikely that the city would be able to accommodate a change of venue to accommodate more people, as was requested by Council President Nino Giacchi. He said the cost of a change – renting a sound system and such – cannot be incurred by the city right now.
Thus, the meeting may remain at Hoboken City Hall. Check our breaking news site, www.hudsonreporter.com, throughout the week for updates.
