MARMORA, PAUL

A funeral mass was offered Feb. 21 at Saint Joseph’s Church for Paul Marmora, 88. He died Feb. 17 at Hamilton Park Rehabilitation Center in Jersey City. He was born in Gioi Cilento, Italy. He was a partisan fighter in Italy opposing the Nazis during WWII, and had been a resident of Jersey City since 1956. He was employed as a construction worker for over 20 years, and later as a maintenance worker at Meadowview Hospital for several years. He was a member of Local 325 Construction Worker’s Union and the Saint Anthony of Padua Mission in Italy. He is survived by his wife, Rosina (nee D’Amato); his children, Emilio Marmora, Antoinette Tahan and her husband Mark; two sisters, Giussepina and Emilia Marmora, both in Italy, and two grandchildren, Paul A. Marmora and Mark Anthony Tahan. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
