A funeral mass was offered at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken on Feb. 24, for Claire Mary Burke (Banoky), 71. She died on Feb. 20 at the Calvary Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. She was born in Jersey City and lived in Weehawken most of her life. She was the Banquet Coordinator for the Metropolitan Club of New York City and also the owner of Mss Bee’s restaurant, Hoboken. She was a graduate of Seton Hall University, a member of the Friends of Weehawken Waterfront, Alumna of the Academy of St. Aloysius, and was a Weehawken mayoral candidate in 1980. She is survived by her son, John M. Burke and his wife Jennifer; her daughters Mariclaire Burke and her husband Aboubaker, and Kathleen H. Burke and her husband Bernard. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jack Burke, Maya Burke and Fatima Sadouki and her former husband and dear friend John W. Burke. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
