Hoboken based music publisher and clients celebrate accolades
Chalmers “Spanky” Alford and Luther “Mano” Hanes bring home three Grammy statuettes for their work with Al Green and CeCe Winans, respectively. Missing Link Music is the proud publisher of these two extraordinary writers and is honored to be a part their musical legacies. Spanky’s two posthumous wins for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group “Stay With Me (By the Sea)” (featuring John Legend) and Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance (“You’ve Got the Love I Need” (featuring Anthony Hamilton) highlight his co-production efforts and guitar virtuosity displayed throughout Al Green’s album “Lay It Down” (Blue Note Records). Mano was awarded a Grammy for Best Contemporary Gospel Album for his genius keyboard performance and production skills on CeCe Winans’ album “Thy Kingdom Come” (Pure Gospel Springs Records). A 2008 recipient of the “Best of Hoboken- Music Publisher” award, Missing Link Music boasts one of the greatest client-to-Grammy Award ratios in the music industry.
