ACS says thanks for attending ‘Relay for Life-Secaucus’ kickoff

Dear Editor:
We would like to take this opportunity to convey a huge thank you to everyone who attended the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life – Secaucus” kickoff last Monday evening. A special thank you to Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Cynthia Randina and the Secaucus Board of Education for the use of the Middle/High School cafeteria and also to the custodial staff working that evening.
“Relay For Life – Secaucus” is an overnight event which will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 from 3 p.m. until 7 a.m. Saturday morning in the ice rink in Buchmuller Park. Here in Secaucus we have raised over $100,000.00 for the American Cancer Society the past two years and had a lot of fun doing so. We would like to invite the community to join us….there are many ways to get involved with this year’s “Relay For Life – Secaucus”, we are still recruiting teams and volunteers to be part of this wonderful community event to raise funds and awareness, celebrate life and to fight back against cancer. Please join us at our next meeting on February 26, 2009 at the Municipal Library at 7 p.m.
For additional information, please call Susan Pirro at 201 563-2161 or Amy Fine-Benedek at 732-689-1768.

Thank you,
Susan Pirro & Amy Fine Benedek,
