There are flight delays expected today and other problems because of heavy winds in the northeast. It’s 53 degrees out, but very very windy. The National Weather Service (click upper right of this page) has this to say: “In the wake of the potent storm that produced the recent episodes of severe weather, strong winds will blast the Northeast today. Northern New England will be the exception until the late afternoon hours. The winds will peak between 40 and 60 mph at times. Winds of that strength could down tree limbs and power lines, leading to power outages. Gusts closer to the 60-mph mark could even topple an entire tree.”
