A 28-year-old Bayonne man was beaten and robbed on Feb. 6 at 9:30 p.m. near 53rd Street and Avenue B, but failed to report the incident for a week, saying he didn’t know who the men were who had attacked him, according to police.
Two men approached the victim asking him what time it was, and when he looked at his watch, they allegedly hit him in the face and body, knocking him to the ground, according to police.
At that point, one of the men allegedly pulled $200 out of the victim’s pocket, took his Samsung T-Mobile cellular telephone, and fled the scene, police said.
