Hoboken Councilman-at-Large Peter Cammarano has sent out a press release saying he will announce his mayoral campaign this Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Frozen Monkey Cafe, 526 Washington St.
The release notes: “Joined by his wife Marita and their 20 month-old daughter Abby, Hoboken Councilman Peter Cammarano will tell about 600 of his good friends and supporters that he is entering the race for Mayor at his official announcement Thursday morning.
The Cammaranos will hold a press conference at an internet café and coffee house called the Frozen Monkey on 526 Washington St. in Hoboken at 10:30 a.m. Peter will field questions after making a brief announcement.”

The election for mayor and three council people will be held in May.
The only other declared candidate in the race so far is 4th Ward Councilwoman Dawn Zimmer, although there are several others who are rumored to be deciding, including Councilwoman Beth Mason, Board of Ed member Frank Raia and Councilman Michael Russo.
