KARLIFF, IDRIS (WARREN SIMS). Funeral services were held for Idris Karliff (Warren Sims) on Jan.16. at the Masjid Al Tawheed Islamic Center, Jersey City. He died on Dec. 23 in Pittsburgh, PA. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant with the US Army during WWII. He was actively involved within the Jersey City Community. He was a senior nutrition aide for the City of Jersey City, a Board Member of the Martin Luther King Neighorhood Development Corp. and served as a liaison between the African American Islam Association and the American Muslim Alliance. Survivors include his sons, Leonard and Raymond Sims; his sisters, Alma Mitchell of Seattle, WA, and Eva Neal of Albuquerque, NM, and a host of family and friends.
