ROBERTS, BARBARA JEAN. Funeral services were held Jan. 14 for Barbara J. Roberts, of Jersey City. She died Jan. 8. She worked for 32 years as an educator in the Jersey City public schools. She taught English Literature at Dickinson HS for over 20 years. She spent the last 10 years working as a Crisis Intervention Teacher at Snyder HS, PS #41 and Middle School, and was campaign manager for L. Harvey Smith for City Council. Survivors include her mother, Irene Brown of Jersey City; a son, John Roberts of Laurel MD; a brother, Rev. Arthur Brown of Middletown PA; a niece and nephew.
