Annual Basket Brigade was a huge success

Dear Editor:
As Chairman of the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency and on behalf of my fellow Commissioners, Vice Chairman Rafael Diaz, Piyush M. Amin, Evelyn Farmer, Councilwoman Viola Richardson, Councilman Michael J. Sottolano and John Spinello, I would like to thank Robert Antonicello, Executive Director and his staff for their effort in the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency’s Annual Basket Brigade.
This year’s donations exceeded $17,000 and on December 11, 2008, with Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy, Councilwoman Richardson and Councilman Sottolano on hand, the Agency distributed donations to their network of food banks and charities to feel hundreds of City residents throughout the upcoming months.
I would like to thank the development community for their contributions for our drive. I especially want to thank Roseland Property Company; Ideal Supply Companies; Statue of Liberty Harbor North; Potomac Hudson Environmental, Inc.; Schenkman & Kushner; W.S. Realty, LLC; Franklin Development Group; Second Street Waterfront Partners; Hudson Realty Abstract Co. and The Petrocci Agency.
Besides Director Antonicello, I would like to acknowledge Jennifer Caraballo; Elizabeth Garcia; Janet Hanna; Mary Pat Noonan; Barbara Amato; Joe Kealy; Mark Van Wagner; Chris Fiore; Ernie Jackson; Ben Delisle; Mary Ann Kopcha; Franklyn Ore; Maureen Mortola and Jennifer Rykola for their help in making our Basket Brigade a continue success.
The commitment by all involved, especially during this difficult economic time, shows their sincerity for the community at large.

Sincerely,
James Morley, Chairman
The Jersey City Redevelopment Agency
