Boos and ahhs Halloween on the Ghouled Coast

The jack-o-lanterns are out and kids are ready to trick-or-treat on Halloween this Friday. The city will host the annual Ragamuffin Parade that day at 3:30 p.m., beginning at 14th and Washington streets and continuing down Washington Street to Fifth Street. It will end at the Little League Field at Stevens Park on River Street. All children may participate.

The Russo Civic Association is again sponsoring the annual Haunted House at the Church of the Holy Innocents, Sixth Street and Willow Avenue. There will be activities for all ages, including an inflatable, not-so-haunted house for the young children. Councilman Michael Russo said last year more than 2,000 kids and parents came for their holiday spooking.

The Haunted House is open Oct. 30 and 31 from 7 to 9 p.m., and is free for all residents.
