SORRENTINO, LILLIAN. Mass for Lillian (McCarthy) Sorrentino, 81, of Union City, was held Oct. 21 at St. Lawrence Church, Weehawken. She died at home Oct.17. Sorrentino was a longtime resident of Union City. She worked as a teacher’s aide for the Union City school system for 25 years before retiring in 2003. Survivors inlcude three daughters, Nancy Sorrentino, Susan Purcell and Peggy Gallagher, and her husband Frank; a son, Jim Sorrentino, and his wife Marisa; a sister-in-law, Yolanda Mingalone; eight grandchildren, Keri Cozzino, Saxon Sorrentino, Kristi Purcell, Shawn Purcell, Megan Carricarte, Carly Carricarte, Frank Petrone and Chris Petrone; and 10 great-grandchildren
