AMONE, MICHAEL J. Mass for Michael J. “Ike” Arnone, 93, of Jersey City, was held Oct. 1 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City. He died Sept. 27 at the Fountain Manor, Secaucus. Arnone was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He worked for Local 472 Heavy Construction & General Laborers Union, Newark. He started as a laborer and later became a union delegate, shop steward, vice president and president at the time of his retirement. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and received the Distinguished Unit Badge with five Oak Leaf Clusters and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. Survivors include his son, Michael G. “Mickey” Arnone; three brothers, Anthony, Conrad, and Nicholas Arnone; a sister, Anna Romeo; and many nieces and nephews.
