POMPLIANO, JOAN M. Mass for Joan M. Pompliano, 78, a native and lifelong resident of Jersey City, was held Sept. 25 at St. Paul of the Cross Church, Jersey City. She died Sept. 18 at Brick Medical Center, Brick. Pompliano was a bookkeeper for Merrill Lynch, New York City, and Gilbert Sunshine, Jersey City, for more than 30 years, retiring eight years ago. She was a CCD teacher at St. Paul of the Cross School, Jersey City, for 20 years. Survivors inlcude a brother, Ralph; two sisters, Rose Gullace and Antoinette Finn; and many nieces and nephews.
