We Won’t Forget

We came together to share our grief spend time to pray but so little relief.
Our hearts still ache – our tears still flow
Our loved ones gone – we miss them so.
Time should heal most people say
But, not for our loved ones who were lost that day
As time goes by the days seem long
The nights are lonesome like an endless song
As years go by we gather here
Close friends and family will shed a tear
A song, a Prayer, they say will heal
But, the heartache we share is oh so real
Do we forgive – I don’t see how
Some say we must but not here and not now
So let’s share our grief all gathered here
And ask God to give us comfort for another year.
