Day of pampering on the Hudson Henley on Hudson celebrates the clubhouse opening with spa event

It was a day of pampering for residents and hopeful future residents as well as visitors of Weehawken’s Henley on Hudson waterfront community.

On Saturday, June 28, developers Lennar Urban’s Northeast Division and Roseland Property Company invited the public to celebrate the grand opening of the community’s clubhouse, which will offer a number of amenities including a fully equipped gym and yoga/Pilates room, entertainment theater area, and game room among other things.

To celebrate the grand opening the developers hosted “Relaxation on the River,” a one-day spa event for their invited guests.

“Today’s event is a spa theme to get people comfortable in the space,” said Lisa Poggi, vice president of sales and marketing for Lennar Urban’s Northeast Division.

From 10 a.m. to noon, all home owners and purchasers about to close on their Henley properties were invited to see the clubhouse, and then from 12:30 to 4 p.m. the clubhouse was open to members of the public as well as new potential homeowners. The event brought out about 180 visitors to the clubhouse.

Afternoon event activities included free manicures and makeup application stations, as well as massages and even tarot readings. Face painting and glitter tattoos were also available for the kids, as well as spa finger foods such as vegetable platters and cucumber avocado sandwiches.

“I think it’s a very nice event and very well planned from what I can see,” said Eric Gladbach, of Hoboken, who was waiting as his daughter Catherine was getting her face painted.

Luxury living

The clubhouse, which is about 6,000 square feet, had been under construction for about a year and consists of three floors.

The first floor includes an open gathering room area on the first floor as well as on the second floor. The second floor also has the billiard and gaming lounge, and the theater and entertainment room. On the third floor is the fully equipped fitness center and yoga/Pilates room. A personal trainer was onsite that day to meet and greet the guests, and sign them up for personal training sessions.

“Everybody likes to stay in shape and this is the prime time because it’s summer,” said Will Grissom, personal trainer, who will be offering his services to the residents of Henley on Hudson.

Throughout the clubhouse, guests also enjoyed panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.

“It’s a very nice event, very organized, and [they had] a pleasant and patient staff,” said Lisa Bullard. “We’re in downtown Jersey City and considering here for the luxury living and the waterfront.”

Henley on Hudson features 38 duplex condominiums, 48 condominium residences, 14 luxurious penthouses and 64 classic four-level townhouses, which are roughly about 3,700 square feet.

Out of the 90 homes available, about 60 have already been sold, and when the final phase of the community has been built it will have a total of 164 units. The one bedroom condos start at $500,000 and the two bedroom condos start at $900,000. The townhouses start at $1.6 million.
