Vote Reinl, Marra, Riebesell for school board

Dear Editor:

I’m both pleased and proud to give my strongest endorsement to Eleanor Reinl, Dora Marra, and Gary Riebesell in the upcoming April 15th school board election. As past president of the Secaucus Board of Education, I’m well aware of the qualities necessary to ensure continued excellence in our public schools.

During her many years of service, Eleanor Reinl has compiled an impressive record as a school trustee. Time and again, Eleanor has expressed her sound judgment and political independence when faced with critical issues effecting public education in our community. Her record speaks for itself.

Dora Marra is seeking a three year term on the school board. She’s a successful businesswoman whose family has deep roots in Secaucus and a long tradition of service to our community. She’s been active in charitable and civic affairs, demonstrating the energy and dedication necessary to improve the quality of education in Secaucus.

Gary Riebesell is also a candidate in this year’s election and promises to be a true asset to our school board. Gary has enjoyed a very successful career in law enforcement as a lieutenant in the Hudson Sheriff’s Office where he has earned numerous awards and decorations. In addition, he’s demonstrated a strong spirit of volunteerism and community involvement as a captain in our fire department and a coach in various child-related recreation programs.

If we want to be certain that our children will receive the highest quality education in our public schools, we need school trustees who are civic minded, community spirited, and politically independent. This year Secaucus voters have three talented individuals who meet these standards. That’s why I’m urging Secaucus voters to join me in supporting Eleanor Reinl, Dora Marra, and Gary Riebesell in the April 15th school board election.
