Bruce Sherman has done it again!

Dear Editor:

Bruce Sherman, Director of the Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center, has done it again. The ensemble So Percussion performed an incomparable hour of making music from everything including hammering on blocks of wood, sloshing a bucket of water, plucking the spines of a round cactus as well as conventional drums, xylophones (and some rather unconventional xylophones) and other instruments hard to describe. You had to be there. At one point I thought I was listening to the chatter of birds and monkeys in a jungle. There hasn’t been a concert in the past five years that hasn’t afforded the audience a unique and pleasurable experience, some of them once in a lifetime opportunities. If you don’t believe me, come hear the Proteus Ensemble on Wednesday, March 5. I guarantee you will become a fan of HRPAC.
