Fox to be named to Port Authority

Jamie Fox will be named “Deputy Executive of Director” of the Port Authority of New Jersey and New York at some point before McGreevey leaves office.

Fox started his service on the McGreevey camp as the commissioner for the state Department of Transportation. When Gary Taffet resigned in the wake of allegations over possible profiting on his billboard business, the governor brought Fox on as chief of staff.

Fox has been credited by insiders for eliminating many of the ethical questions that plagued the McGreevey Administration. All of the problems that McGreevey faces today were generated from a period prior to Fox’s tenure as chief of staff.

Prior to his service on the McGreevey Administration, Fox served as chief of staff of then Senator Robert Torricelli.
