Donate that unwanted car, truck or van to the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America

Dear Editor:

The Kidney & Urology Foundation of America is making a unique appeal to area residents to finally get rid of that used car, truck or van that has been taking up extra space in their driveway all summer.

The Foundation will pick up your vehicle, running or not, 1992 or newer, free of charge. This community service helps people free themselves from the expenses of tags and insurance, bolsters neighborhood clean up and recycling and helps reduce the amount of air pollutants emitted from old cars.

In addition by donating your car, truck or van to the Foundations Lifecars Program, the owner of the vehicle may be eligible for a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the vehicle. All donations help fund the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America in its fight to drive down the incidence of kidney, hypertensive, urological and prostate diseases which affects one in four people.

Through programs funded by the public, organ donor awareness, cutting edge research and support efforts that help families and patients, the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America is a crucial resource that touches the lives of thousands of people who may be family, friends or neighbors.

The Kidney & Urology of America, now in its sixth decade of service is dedicated to the treatment and cure of kidney, urinary tract, hypertensive, and prostate diseases, improving the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation. The Foundation is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization which receives no government funding and relies solely on the generosity of corporations and the general public for its support. The Foundation also welcomes gifts of real estate and appreciated securities.
