JCPA says thanks for Community Service Award

Dear Editor:

Just a brief letter to publicly express our appreciation to the Hispanic American Law Enforcement Association for their kind recognition of our contributions to the betterment of Jersey City in the presentation of HALEA’s “Community Service Award” for 2004. We are honored, and at the same time, humbled by this prestigious award.

Each of us would not have been able to perform our duties and carry out our various responsibilities without the support of our co-workers at the Jersey City Parking Authority and, most especially, the Executive Director of the JCPA, James King. He, more than any other, has fully recognized and rewarded many Parking Enforcement Officers as well as administrative personnel of Hispanic Heritage for their meritorious service and responsible discharge of their individual duties.

Again, many thanks for this public recognition of our collective efforts on behalf of the residents of Jersey City. Tito Torres, Chief of Staff
Michael Gerena, Assistant Director
Tito Robles, Sergeant
