Check out the provocative punk cabaret of Boston’s Dresden Dolls, playing Maxwell’s with the Mint Chicks, 9 p.m., $10. The Baja in Jersey City has salsa night with local band Sammy and his Group, starting at 9 p.m. Pumpkin Escobar and Pop Volture play the Whiskey Bar.Friday, June 18:

Don’t miss the farewell show of local band Mexican Elvis, playing Maxwell’s with the Stuntcocks, Spitting Cobras, and Loafass, 9 p.m., $7. Uncle Joe’s has Sweetheart, Mutagenic, and The Subterraneans. Pearl Jam tribute band No Code plays The Arena at George’s in Bayonne.

Saturday, June 19:

If you missed Robbers on High Street on Last Call with Carson Daly, they’re at Maxwell’s tonight with Longwave and The National, 9:30 p.m., $12. Uncle Joe’s has Higgins, Mittens, and Mason Dixon. The Shannon has Motel Creeps and The Itch.

Sunday, June 20:

Dave Rudburg and Hiro Suzuki play the blues at Scotland Yard, 8 p.m. It’s open-mic night at Oddfellows Rest in Hoboken, hosted by Michael and Michelle, 8 p.m. P.J. Ryan’s in Jersey City has karaoke starting at 8:30 p.m.

Monday, June 21:

Canadian troubadour Ron Sexsmith plays Maxwell’s with Griffin House, 9 p.m., $10. It’s happy hour all night at Oddfellows in Hoboken and Jersey City. Rodeo-Ristra has poetry by Soce: The Elemental Wizard and music by Mark Gianotti at its Welcomed Words poetry open-mic night, 8 p.m.

Tuesday, June 22:

Continuing the Canadian invasion, Maxwell’s has Hayden, touring behind the new album Elk-Lake Serenade. Oddfellows in Jersey City has karaoke starting at 9 p.m., fueled by an all-night beer special. And it’s Ski Club Night at Willie McBride’s, starting at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 23:

Hoboken’s own Damn Lovelys play Maxwell’s with Bobby Bare Jr. and Tom Heinl, 8:30 p.m., $8. AJ Azzarto and the Hoboken Four play the Goldhawk, 9 p.m. And it’s Swing Night at Willie McBride’s, starting at 7 p.m.
