Dear Editor:
Although I’m quite impressed with your intellectual writings, there always reeks an agenda that conflicts with objectivity. As a staffer in the P.A., you should be able to easily recall at least a few misbehaviors in that authority that were not reported to the public. I know, I did, at my job. The justification is, always, that getting fired gets in the way, and you can be more effective on the inside. Mr. Clarke is a hero because he let the public know of misdoings by your heroes, the Bush posse members. The dots were there and the secrecy of this administration, plus the politics going on in the CIA, FBI and all security agencies caused those dots not to be connected. As in the P.A. and every other corporation the jockeying for advancement including cut throating within departments, is fertile ground for not sharing information.
As an intimate buddy, I knew that worked for the P.A. revealed to me, a policy the authority sanctioned merrily, continued without, if I don’t err, no audible disclosure by your critical self. I’m no lawyer but I’m quite familiar with ethics, because I’ve devoted many years to its pursuit in my 80 years. I am referring to the policy of putting in extra ordinary hours during the last three years before retirement. For anybody unfamiliar with how P.A pensions were determined I’ll enlighten you. If you work three shifts and overtime as often as possible during the last three years, all you earn in that period is added together and then averaged out to determine how much monthly amount you retire with. I venture to guess that some retirees are now receiving bigger monthly checks than the salaries they were being paid while on active duty. Thanks to Honorable Janiszewski, then Chairman of Chosen Board of Freeholders of Hudson County, I retired after 25 years of service with a monthly check of around $800. He is not the only one that should be incarcerated as I suspect the corporate practices in this dog-eat-dog system lacks anything linked to ethics. I also believe it is not a few rotten apples they would like us to swallow, because I’ve also studied human behavior and Diogenes with the lantern is still walking the earth looking for an honest man.
Mr. Landrigan, you are in no position to judge or criticize, and just to satisfy my curiosity, how much pension did you retire with? The government rated me, even with the “cost of living” supplement as bordering on the poverty level. Don’t forget to vote for your patron saint and his tribe again, the honorable Geo. Bush Jr. and God Bless America.

P.S. Students taking flying lessons minus landing and taking off classes just doesn’t seem kosher to me. Even a moron like me can put those dots together, except if you’re a politician.
