Jersey City native Joseph Colicchio will sign copies of his new novel, The Trouble with Mental Wellness, this Sunday, April 18, at 4 p.m. at Symposia Bookstore in Hoboken. Colicchio, an English professor at Hudson County Community College, set the novel in the Jersey City Heights.
Here’s an excerpt from the Library Journal’s review: “In his second novel, Colicchio tells the endearing story of an inept counselor who runs a mental wellness center in the same Jersey City, NJ, building that formerly housed his parents’ meat market . . . . Colicchio imbues his absorbing narrative with the city’s sights and people, gracefully highlighting the grit and hidden charm of this working-class setting. Recommended.”
