Spring on the way to Secaucus After a cold winter, residents share their plans for warmer weather

“Mild” is not a word that many people would use to describe the winter of 2003- 2004. But a couple of warmer days over the last few weeks have served to remind everyone that spring is less than a month away.

Last week, the Reporter asked Secaucus residents what they were looking forward to about spring.

“Being outside more often with the kids. Walking around more often without a coat.” – Jim Cuozzo

“Nice warm weather, rest, and a nice warm summer. Good health is automatic when people come out of the house after being cooped up for so long.” – “Joe the Barber” and Nicky Verdesco, Frederic’s Hair Design

“I’m not too sure. I’m going to California!” – Steven Baer

“Warm weather and the sun. It’s been a horrible winter. Work out, ride the bike, and go fishing. Basically, for the fashion. It’s nice dressy weather where you don’t have to be bundled up.” – Felipe Gutierrez

“Many outdoor activities, baseball games, parks, picnics, barbeques, and the boardwalk. Great camping weather.” – Lisa Freeman

“I’m looking forward to the DPW with their spring planting of tulips and daffodils. Bright orange sunsets over the Hackensack River, affectionately known as “Hackie,” and Fluke Fishing down at LBI.” – Ann Lisk
